Justice

The night air is penetrating her skin
The brisk wind brings nothing but memories of sin
The noise is loud and it tortures her in her sleep
She thought it was only in her mind these secrets would keep

It narrows in on her and approaches quietly
Guiltily she rises from her sleep and is now able to see
The filth that is her soul reincarnated
Now she can see why she has been so reasonably hated

She is forever lost between the living and the dead
She never could fathom why she was trapped until she saw it shed
Each layer of her betrayal and years of the suffering she has caused
She thought she would be forgiven after all the years she had mourned

Now it encases her in a cruel and twisted world
One that will haunt her forever and never let her return
She will forever face her demons
Every time the sun sets he rears his ugly face
She looks into his eyes and sees her reflection
And knows justice has been served
And this life is now what she deserves
